The leaves begin to fall again,
This time everything is different,
Rain carries the same feelings,
But now they are more distant
Fruit falls from the trees,
Planting new life for next year,
The soil will be nourished again,
As old life goes, new life does appear
Old wounds mend as new lessons unfold,
Time, of course, is a great healer,
It soothes the harsh breaks and cuts,
And time is also a great revealer
To how much can change so fast,
Even quicker than the seasons,
And as much as I seek to know why,
Hidden remain the reasons.
